J. Skinner wonderful baked goods.

I have found a wonderful baked good company. Do you love sweet, and wonderfully made baked goods? Well I have to introduce you to J.Skinner baked good. Here is a little information about J. Skinner from the website:

James Skinner Baking Company  supplies more than 200 million Danish pastries and batter products per year to customers throughout the US. Cinnamon rolls, sweet rolls, and coffee and crumb cakes are among the products manufactured and frozen at its Nebraska facility. Its baked goods are offered under the Skinner brand and other branded and private-label names to store bakeries, foodservice companies, and distributors. The company also specializes in co-packing for contract food manufacturers. Skinner products are sold through a direct sales force and a national broker network. Founded in 1911 by brothers Lloyd and Paul Skinner, the company is still family owned by president James Skinner.

I was very fortunate to be able to review the cinnamon buns and a cheese Danish.

One of the many things my husband loves is cinnamon rolls (shocking!) He’s eaten thousands of them, and some he liked more than others and then he found one that he put near the top of the list. We received cinnamon rolls and a cheese Danish from Skinner Baking (http://www.skinnerbaking.com/) their motto is “No shortcut with methods or ingredients.” And that baking craftsmanship shows.

I swear he must have a sixth sense when it comes to cinnamon; he’s like a drug sniffing dog! It’s crazy, I didn’t tell him what we received he sniffed it out when he got home. It’s an odd talent, useless really but he was proud of himself. Unlike most cinnamon rolls the cinnamon rolls from Skinner are good both room temperature and warmed up.

The quality of the roll was evident, it didn’t taste like the mass produced "other guys" cinnamon rolls, it had a homey quality to it and the Danish was just as good. Plenty of cinnamon on the roll and just enough frosting and the frosting was spot on just the right level of sweetness.

The Danish was cheesy and again the right amount of frosting. Too much frosting takes away from the taste, you don’t want to taste just sweet you want to be able to taste the cheese and the pastry itself.

These are baked goods  you want to put out when you have a get together but you don’t because you don’t want to share such deliciousness with anyone else you want to keep it all for you.
