My Review:
My daughter is a smart little cookie. She does very well at school, and we are very proud of her. But there is something she does not excel in, math. Unfortunately she takes after her daddy, and math is not her strongest subject. My daughter is in 1st grade, and I think she could use a little help with her math skills. I was very fortunate to be able to review a great game called Flashcar.
This was great for my daughter, this was educational and fun at the same time. This was a way to brush up on her math skills without knowing. I took the game out, and asked if she wanted to play (oh of course I did not mention this was a “math” game) she was excited to play, and bring the girly girl she is insited on being the red car (and asked why they did not have a pink car? Sigh) .
So we played the game as a family, the rules were fairly simple, use the cards then add up the amounts to know where to more your car. Easy right? (of course there is more, that is just the abridged version, but you get the idea) My daughter was just loving the “race car” aspect of the game, she did not even notice that she was practicing doing math while she was playing.
My daughter had fun with the game, and this is the kind of game that I would not mind if she would like to play this every night, hey the more you play the better she will get! I would recommend this game, it is fun and stimulates the brain, what more can you ask for. Oh and the game is made in the USA so that is great!
With the holidays right around the corner, do you know a class room that this great game would benefit? The online game states at $8.00 per student, and with 50 license purchases you can get a free board game for the class room. What a great holiday present this would make!
