I was lucky enough to be introduced to a cool new band, that sings great kid friendly music. And now I would love to introduce you to the Jimmies!
Make Your Own Someday: Silly Songs for the Shorter Set One of the Jimmes cd's was voted one of the top 20 best kids albums of the DECADE!
I am always looking for kid-appropriate music for the family to listen to together (especially in the car) it gets old hearing traditional "kiddie" music in the car. When we go for long drives, I will go crazy if I have to listen to the "wheels on the bus" one more time.. But I have a better option for my family now. The Jimmies "Practically Ridiculous" . The songs are like rock/country songs for kids. So no worries about the content here. And I personally like the music better than the real kiddie stuff we used to listen to. My daughter is a big fan as well, I often look back at her and she is singing along (of course she gets embarrassed and stops singing when she sees me though...) it is so cute.
My personal favorite song is "birthday" it is upbeat and fun to listen to. I would recommend the Jimmies if you would like to try some new fun music.
