Actress and pop sensation Selena Gomez (Ramona and Beezus, “Wizards of Waverly Place”) lights up the screen as Grace, a high-spirited high school graduate looking forward to a vacation in Paris with her best friend Emma (Katie Cassidy, “Melrose Place”), and stepsister Meg (Leighton Meester, “Gossip Girl”). Just as the girls think their trip is ruined when their hyperactive tour guide leaves them behind, Grace is mistaken for a wealthy socialite and the trio is whisked away to Monte Carlo for a thrilling week of glitz, glam, and unforgettable fun.
MONTE CARLO features supporting performances by Cory Monteith (“Glee”), Pierre Boulanger (Monsieur Ibrahim), Luke Bracey (Home And Away), and Andie McDowell (Groundhog Day).
My Take:
I had the night alone last night (oh that is a great rare evening for me) so I wanted to watch Monte Carlo, it is a girly movie, that looked good. I enjoyed the movie it was fast paced and I loved the locations where the movie was filmed. The counties that they visited.. they were breathtaking! The Paris scenes, were amazing. (even though Paris did not work out that well for the girls... but I will not spoil it) I will have to make visiting Paris and entry on my bucket list. It is a must see. Monte Carlo also looks like an amazing place.
I have seen Selena Gomez in "The Wizards of Waverly Place" a show my daughter loves. She really was good in this movie. I think she is growing up to be a great actress. If you are looking for a great girl movie for you and your girlfriends to watch on your next get together this would be it. The movie is great for teens and adults. Monte Carlo will be a great addition to the get together. And after watching the movie, you can all discuss where you would love to go to!
