My Review:
The one thing my daughter seems to like to do is dance, we enrolled her in dance class and she hated it. “We keep doing the same things over and over!” She didn’t quite grasp the concept of practice makes perfect.
The classes were an epic failure but it didn’t squash her love of dancing. When we gave her a Wii a couple of birthday’s ago one of the games she was given was Disney’s Dance Dance Revolution, which she liked but it was a hard game both in playing and setting up, it has a gigantic mat you need to dance on and it takes up a lot of real estate.
I was sent a copy of The Smurfs Dance Party (http://thesmurfsgame.ubi.com/smurfs-dance-game/en-US/) which is a dance game that does not require that huge mat.

My daughter couldn’t wait to try it out, after a few minutes of getting used to the controls she was on her way. She was sooo excited to be able to dance with Smurfette, as you all know, she is a real girly girl sometimes and just loves to play as the girl... it’s one of the cutest things to sit and watch, she “dances” her butt off and my husband sits there laughing.
This is a much easier game for kids than Dance Dance Revolution, the controls are easy to follow and the game play is smooth. There are 3 ways to play the Smurf Dance Party Game, Dance, Story, and Play lists. My daughter enjoyed playing each of the parts, but the dance party game was her favorite.

The songs are great and the characters are known by all, the Smurfs are iconic, they now span multiple generations. I remember watching them as a child and loving Smurfette and to see my daughter enjoying something from my childhood makes me feel good, plus it gives my husband an opportunity to talk like Brainy Smurf, it’s a good imitation, I won’t tell him that though;-)!
So if you are looking for a great kids game that just can get the kids up and moving around (some great exercise!) Smurf dance party is for you.
