Perky Jerky - Review (And a Giveaway)

The Perky Jerky Story, Our story -- like most good stories -- begins with two Jerks in a ski lodge. After a long, hard night of energy-drink-cocktail-fueled libation, these jerks settled in while the winter storm raged outside. The next morning they awoke, loaded up their gear, and headed out to the mountain. Amongst this gear was an open bag of peppered beef jerky, which had, unfortunately became drenched in some of the energy drink that had been carelessly spilled the night before. On the first lift up, it made no difference. To these jerks, jerky was the only breakfast they needed, altered or not. Much to their delight, the jerky had retained its original flavor, but was more tender by the accident. What's more, as they floated their way down the mountain through bottomless powder, they realized they'd been given an extra boost - the jerky had taken on some of the pep of the energy drink. On the next lift ride up, the greatest innovation in jerky since cracked pepper was born.

My Review:

So what is Perky Jerky? According to the website - Perky Jerky is the new high-protein, ultra-premium, functional food for active lifestyles. Well that is not the half of it Perky Jerky means deliciousness. (is that even a word?).

 

Perky Jerky is a all natural beef jerky, flavored with  Guarana a tropical fruit, found in Brazil this has more caffeine than a cup of coffee. Caffeinated Jerky! So Perky Jerky is just that jerky that will perk you up, and it is a high protein snack, so for a working mom like me that is a win- win!   Have you ever had jerky that was dry and chewy (I have had some where I was afraid to crack a tooth while fighting to eat it) well this is an entirely different kind of jerky!

Perky Jerky is unique and delicious, it is soft, well not exactly soft, it is just very easy to break apart, bite, and chew. It seen as if it has a delicious flavor coating that makes this moist and tasty. My  "it is the best jerky ever" that is my opinion well as you can we all loved it. We were able to try the beef, and the turkey jerky wow, both were soft and moist and easy to eat, I was a fan of both types, the beef was like a traditional jerky but much moister, and the turkey had a slightly different flavor, but I like variety and it was good.

I love that the people at Perky Jerky also give back, a portion proceeds go to support the fight against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and Down Syndrome.

I would recommend Perky Jerky for any jerky lovers, and for people who need a bit of a jolt in the afternoon, instead of those "energy drinks" why not have a protein fill snack that packs a punch to wake you up instead?
