If you can't make it to PA you can also do a virtual tour online here: http://www.herrs.com/SnackFactoryTours/VirtualTours.html
A cool little pretzel & Chip cabin!
Did you know why potato chips are sometimes green? Well I now know :) They grew too far to the top and turned green, but they are just fine to eat.
I also learned that all of the pretzels and chips, and popcorn that makes it to the floor, this gets swept up and transported to local farms and the cows eat this mixture for breakfast lunch and dinner. Now I don't know how the cows like bbq chips and the like, but I am sure they eat them?
No Pictures are allowed during the tour itself, but we got to see them make, popcorn, tortilla chips, pretzels and potato chips! It was a great day out, we even got to try just baked warm potato chips fresh from the line. Warm chips are delicious! And we all got a bag to bring home.
But of course we had to buy more chips at the gift shop. I bought a variety little bag gift bag. It included a bunch of new flavors, I loved the Jalepeno Popper bag, and the dill pickle chips.
I would recommend going if you are in the Nottingham Pa area. But since this is a real factory it is only open for tours during week days. So going back as a family again will be difficult. But it was a fun time for my daughter and I.
