My Review:

Kids have it so much better today than when I was growing up. I had to walk places when I was a kid, now all they have to do is glide. Heely’s (http://www.heelys.com/) are about the most ingenious invention for kids to come along in a long time. It’s basic when you boil it down, they’re shoes with wheels, but those wheels can be removed making it a traditional shoe!

I see kids gliding through the mall on them all the time and it looks like fun just to be able to lean your heel back and glide effortlessly across the floor. We were sent a pair of Heely’s for my daughter and when I opened the box the first thing I noticed right away was how well made these shoes are, they’re a nice show all on their own, the wheels are just the icing on the cake. The shoes are stylish and functional they are well made as well. My daughter within minutes of strapping them on was gliding all over our house with ease and was giggling like well a little girl. She had a look of pure enjoyment on her face, so much so I wanted to cram my foot into the shoe to see just how fun it was. Her learning curve was pretty quick, we made sure to tell her to stagger her feet for better balance and once she got the hang of it she was tearing back and forth.

Once she goes outside with the Heely’s on she will be made to wear a helmet and pads just for protection. We wanted to make sure she was safe just in case of any spills. I love that she was able to buzz around the yard, she had fun and it was great exercise for her.

Heely’s come in kid’s sizes and adult sizes, the shoes range in price from $30.00 to $85.00 which is on par with what you’d pay for a pair of sneakers, but traditional sneakers are just that sneakers, Heely’s are a party on your feet. Why walk when you can glide?
