My Review:

Well because it is almost Christmas in July I wanted to introduce to a new Christmas must (well new to me) an Elfing Around elf.

We’re always looking for fun things to do with our daughter, we like to try and do things outside of the box, and something that is outside of the box is Elfing Around (http://elfingaround.com/). It helps to make a magical time of year even more magical, and it helps to keep kids in line so Mr. or Ms. Elf doesn’t tell Santa to put them on the naughty list.

You can choose if you want a boy or girl elf, your elf will arrive with a lot of goodies you will need. Mommy and Daddy will need to start the adventure.  You will receive your elf, a letter from “Herbie Elf, Jr.”, a wish list and envelope, a parent adventure guidebook,  elf tattoos, and “I’m Here” and “See You Next Year” letters.
What can I say about this little elf?? My daughter is going to love love love her! She has not seen this little darling, this little elf will come and visit in December. This really is a fun concept; it helps promote the magic of Christmas and really puts you into a festive mood. It’s easy to do and will provide memories that you will cherish long after your kids are grown.

We have done a similar "elf" type thing in the past, but that is nothing like this elf. The other elf cannot be touched or it loses it's magic, my daughter was so upset to find out she could not "touch" her elf. And she got very upset if anyone accidentally touched it, she would cry! Now come on… kids like to play with things, but I do understand why you can't touch the elf, because it is poorly made and may fall apart I am sure! But not the elves from  Elfing Around. During the day, the Elf can be played with, but at night, that is when the  magic happens! According to the letters "I promised Santa I would "freeze" during the day. I have to be quiet and still, like a statue. I can't let others see my magic because they won't believe it." . Gingersnap (the name I choose for the elf)  is soft and cuddly and ready to be played with during the day. I can see my daughter waking up early to see what Gingersnap has done, and then playing with her during the day.

For $29.99 the amount of fun and memories you will create with this package the price seems to be on the cheap side. The adventures your child and their Elf will get to do is fun, the parent guide has suggestions on what to do or you can do one you made up, there is no right or wrong. This has will now become a family tradition, something we can look back on when our daughter is all grown up and smile and remember when the magic was real to her.
