The Blue Bayou Restaurant : Wow… It was dark, smelled like a basement, it was dark, it was expensive, it was dark and it was dark. I don’t have many good things to say about this "restaurant". I had the Monte Cristo, what a bad move. It was horrible, I took one bite and pushed it away, it was greasy and tasteless, one of the worst things I’ve ever eaten in my life, seriously. It was so bad our waitress had it removed from our bill, it was sopping with so much oil it was inedible. But of course I was still charged a $12 plate sharing charge. My husband went with Roasted Beef Strip Loin, he liked it, he wasn’t raving about it but he was able to eat his meal unlike me who just picked at the sides. Our daughter went with the Mac-n-Cheese hard to screw that up, she liked it.
This restaurant from a far seemed really cool, you’ll be eating inside of Pirates! The problem is it was so dark you couldn’t see anything! If you drop something on the floor forget it, it’s lost forever. For the cost of the food I really needed to be blown away, I wasn’t. This isn’t a cheap place to eat, you’d expect top notch quality, I have eaten better food at TGIFriday’s for a fraction of the cost. This was a total disappointment. It was so disappointing I did not even take pictures of the food! Now that is bad!
