BSW Toys 3D Shrinky Dinks Review (And a Giveaway)

Who doesn't remember playing with Shrinky Dinks as a kid? We would have so much fun coloring them, and of course this is a craft that we had to do with our parents; and it was always fun! These 3D Shrinky Dinks are like super Shrinky Dinks! It is such a great idea, and it makes then that much more fun to play with when they are done. Why didn't they think of this before?

My Review:

We were able to review the Fairy Princess 3D Shrinky dinks. It included, fairy princesses, butterflies, hearts, kitties all things little girls love! The Fairy Princess kit came with 10 plastic sheets tracing sheets. We  needed to trace the fairies, color them in, and then bake! They retail for $5.99 and are safe, fun and non-toxic.

My daughter was so excited to be able to make the shrinky dinks, she had never made them before. She had a lot of fun coloring in her fairies, and mommy cut them out then we baked them.

It was such a surprise to her that Shrinky Dinks shrink to 1/3 of their original size and become 9 times thicker. We watched through the oven window are it happened so fast! They shrunk down, to these cute little things!  To get the 3D effect you do not need 3 D glasses, you just need to cut out the interlocking pieces and glue together after they have shrunk. The 3D wings were a nice touch.

My daughter used her Shrinky Dinks as accessories for her Rapunzel house, the "fairies" came to visit. It was very cute.  

I love Shrinky Dinks because, they are easy to make, and easy to clean up. They are fun to do, something my daughter and I can do together and it does not have to do with the DS. It is nice that she can do a craft and have fun too. She can use her imagination and pretty much make any character she can draw or trace. And color it in any way she likes. I love that shrink dinks are made in America, that is a great thing.
