I'm so intrigued with the process of jewelry design and metalsmithing. I often finish a collection and can't bear to part with it. I keep new collections displayed in my studio for a bit so I can look at them and visit with the pieces before I have to say goodbye and send them off to their new owners. I have a large collection of my previous work though, as do many of my girlfriends so I still get to see a lot of my "vintage" pieces--and I love that.
I know that the pieces I create go out into the world and become treasures, amulets, reminders of memories. Because of the materials and craftsmanship, my pieces have longevity. When people wear my jewelry they aren't necessarily wearing it just because it's a pretty necklace. They're wearing it because it's inscribed with the name of their baby or it has a word or stone that just called to them. My intention is to create jewelry with relevance. Jewelry that makes you look lovely. Jewelry with meaning and power.

I was lucky enough to be able to review, The Original Sweetheart Necklace

This necklace comes standard with a petite slice, a petite hammered nugget, 2 gemstones and a pearl. Simple, stylish and sought-after. This necklace has room for 4 inscriptions total and comes on an 18” chain.
You can choose what gemstone colors you would like for your necklace. The large selection is pictured below.

My review:

I received a handcrafted necklace from Luscious Metals (http://www.lusciousmetals.com) and was blown away when I opened up this package! This isn't just a necklace, this is a handcrafted piece of jewelry, this is special. It's nice to have something that was handcrafted, to know that this isn't a cookie cutter piece of jewelry this has a special feel to me. It was made by a true artisan, someone who is passionate about their craft and it shows in this necklace.

My necklace is the Original Sweetheart necklace complete with my daughters name on the slice and "My Gift" on the nugget,  I chose the sky (blue) gemstones, and it's on a very pretty link necklace. You can tell right away this isn't something you're going to wander into a mall and find, like I said before this is something special made by someone with a genuine talent. Earrings, rings, and necklaces every base is covered and your choices are many, you can't go wrong. If you're looking for a special gift for someone you can stop looking now.
