We are fans of New Orleans... I find it funny people actually asked me why we were going back because when they thought of New Orleans they think Bourbon street and drinking... We do not drink and we love the city just the same. We are going back because it is a great city! Our last trip was in 2009. Here are some pictures:

Our last trip we went Saturday to Tuesday., Bad move (I did not plan as well as I should have)... A lot of things were closed on Sunday and Monday. So we had to scramble to do a lot on Saturday, but we did it! :) For this trip we (this is just a Mommy and Daddy little trip) are going to the Omni, I got a pretty good deal, and I wanted to try a new place.
This year we are going Wednesday to Saturday. We want to fit in the things we missed here are some of the things we plan to do:
- Eat a the Port O call (yes we ate here last time but look at that burger above how can we not go back)
- Go to the WWII Museum
- Ride in a trolley car (I know we are living on the edge, right?)
- Eat at Cafe Du Monde
- Take a Cooking Class
- Visit the Marti Gras Museum
- Go to the New Orleans Food and Wine Experience 2011 Grand Tasting, the ultimate foodie New Orleans experience!
Is there a pattern here? I know most of the trip revolves around food... But in New Orleans food is... Hmm I can't even explain it is just divine!
Here is more information about the food and wine festival. Check out for a review when I return.
