Being from Philadelphia, you know we just love soft pretzels. Pretzels
are a big thing in Philadelphia, they are sold just about on each corner (ok
well maybe that is a bit of an exaggeration… they sure seem to be everywhere
though…) and we are very picky with the pretzels we eat, the pretzels have to
be great for us to purchase them. Plain pretzels are great, but pretzels with a
twist (pun intended..) are that much better. I was very fortunate to be able to
check out some great SuperPretzel items in the past including the cinnamon sugar
pretzel, that makes a wonderful dessert, and now I was able to check out the coolest
new item from SuperPretzel the PretzelDogs. So what are PretzelDogs you ask?
They are these adorable mini pretzel treats, tiny two bite hot dogs rapped in a
pretzel. These great treats would be wonderful as appetizers or just a quick
snack for the family.
I was very fortunate to be able to try out each of the new flavors, Original
and Cheddar Cheese. The snacks are microwaveable and ready in
seconds. Each box of PretzelDogs contains 12 yummy mini pretzel
wrapped dogs. My family heated up about half the box and that was just enough for
a nice snack for my 3 person family. My daughter just loved the hot dogs, she
is such a fan of hot dogs and loved these mini versions. For her she loved to
dip the PrezelDog in ketchup… Ketchup? Well she loved it! I am more of a
mustard fan, and I loved dipping the dogs while we relaxed and watched holiday
shows. My husband loved the dogs as well, saying they were just the right size
and they were filling. After the PretzelDogs were microwaved they were not
tough or chewy, they were just right. The Cheddar Cheese PretzelDogs, had a
slight cheesy flavor, and the original reminded me of the pretzels you get at
the ballpark, they were both delicious.
This would be a great treat for your Super Bowl party, I know I will be
serving this warm and tasty treat at our next party. The kids will love it, and
so will the adults. Now all I have to do is find some great dipping sauces for
the PretzelDogs, I am sure they will be a hit! I will surely be buying the pretzel dogs again
in the future.
So if you are looking for a fun snack for the family make sure to pick
up a package (or two) of the SuperPretzel, PretzelDogs, your kids will love the
adorable tasty hot dogs, and you will love them too!
